In a new song, Asakaa’s poster boy entices listeners to join his evening activities.
The Ghanaian rapper, born Thorsten Owusu Gyimah (yaw tog), has dropped a new song titled “Tonight.” The hip-hop song, which was produced by Khendibeatz, explores the colorful and sinister aspects of Ghanaian nightlife.
With a production that consists primarily of kick-drum patterns, snares, rim shots, and thick baselines, Yaw Tog effortlessly carries on the collaborative effort he and Khendibeatz started on “Sore.” Yaw’s development is the only thing that has changed.
With a catchy chorus and fun lyrics that explore the nightlife scene, his maturity as an artist elevates the song. He portrays himself as the leader of a nightlife spree with the boys, bantering about the good and bad of the scene and highlighting the pretenders and big spenders.
“Tonight” deviates from his last Drill single, “Obra,” which featured adolescent South African rapper Roii. Available on all platforms Apple music, audiomack and more
