Michael Owusu Addo, a Ghanaian rapper, composer, and businessman from Tema, was born on July 10, 1988. He is better known by his stage name ,Sarkodie (/esɑːrˈkɔːdiɛ/). In recognition of his services to the Ghanaian music scene, he has received multiple awards, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Award for “Artiste of the Decade.”
After graduating from Tema Methodist Day Senior High School, he went on to IPMC College of Technology to pursue his graphic design degree. Sarkodie started out as an underground rapper before becoming well-known through his participation in rap competitions as the well-known Adom FM rap competition Kasahare Leve
