The recent viral video of Ghanaian actor and musician LilWin recording a song from his hospital bed alongside rapper Kwaku Flick has stirred significant reactions online. The song seems to address the intense backlash following an accident involving LilWin, which resulted in the tragic death of a three-year-old boy and his subsequent hospitalization.
LilWin announced the new track on Instagram, featuring collaborations with King Paluta and Kwaku Flick. He shared:
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. On May 25, 2024, I was in a terrible accident with my manager @ray_moni, resulting in the loss of a young life. Rest in perfect peace, Nana Yaw.
“I pray that the good Lord grants your parents another child to fulfil your destiny. To all my fans, thank you for your prayers. Special thanks to @kwekuflick @kingpalutamusic & @apyagh for this project.”
Meanwhile, LilWin is currently facing legal proceedings related to the accident, with his case now before the Attorney General’s office. He was released on bail after initial detention at Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and a subsequent transfer to a police station. There are growing calls for the court to impose severe penalties due to the tragic loss of the young boy’s life.
