Camidoh’s manager, George Britton, has revealed how much money was spent on marketing “Sugarcane” in order for it to become a global hit.
Camidoh had emphasized in recent weeks how much money his team needed to invest in order to make “Sugarcane” viral song.
He did not specify how much money they spent on promotions, but his manager, George Britton, has now done so.
In a lengthy Facebook post, George Britton stated that they spent Ghc975,000 on one song in a year (Sugarcane).
A portion of his post states, “Camidoh became one of Africa’s most streamed artists after spending just over Ghc975,000 on one song in a year.
In order to “constantly achieve this success and more,” George Britton stated that the music industry “will need a much stronger enabler, i.e., the presence of major record labels, heavy financial support from the government, and angel investors in the music industry to help propel the artists to a global stage.”
