Wizkid, the Afrobeats artist, sold out New York’s historic Madison Square Garden, and his opponent Davido was commiserated with throughout the show.
Ayodeji Balogun, best known as Wizkid, a Nigerian ace singer, songwriter, and performer, sold out New York’s largest indoor venue, Madison Square Garden, and his Nigerian counterpart Davido was also honored at the concert.
Davido, who had to postpone his “A.W.A.Y.” festival, which was scheduled to take place in Atlanta’s 21,000-capacity State Farm Arena, due to the terrible loss of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, in a pool accident, was given the deserved affection at Wizkid’s concert yesterday, November 16th, 2022.
Davido was commiserated with due to the sad loss as DJ Tunez performed the singer’s smash song, “Dami Duro,” which was hosted by Wizkid’s right-hand man and personal disc jockey, Wizkid. DJ Tunez dedicated the moment to Davido (and his family), saying:
We love you, Davido. We love you, OBO… This one goes to OBO. We love you.
