Three demonstrators participating in the ongoing protest organized by the pressure organization Arise Ghana have been detained by the Ghana Police Service.
The three were allegedly detained because of their involvement in the tense atmosphere that has pervaded the protest.
90bars.com has already received reports that tear gas had been used against the protesters.
The Kwame Nkrumah Interchange road has been shut down as a result, and neither people nor vehicles are moving.
To deal with the issue, the Police have requested reinforcements.
However, it has been revealed that the protesters’ throwing of stones at the police is what initially sparked the confrontation. Due to that, a police has ben injured whiles a protester has also been shot in the hand. see video footage.

Attack on Police in the Ongoing Arise Ghana Demonstration What a shame, we were there to protect you and ensure your safety, but you throw stones at us, injure and hurt us. This behaviour is unacceptable and must be condemned.
