On February 25, the Lincoln Community School (LCS) hosted its International Festival Day on its campus in Abelemkpe.
In order to recognize and promote the school’s diversity and global perspective, the LCS Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) works with the Advancement Office to put on the International Festival Day. “Multiple threads weave into one fabric, accepting and appreciating our cultural variety” was the event’s theme.

The entire LCS community, made up of parents, instructors, students, and staff, participated in the lively and colorful day. They highlighted their variety with a student-led procession of more than 60 national flags, which was followed by a cuisine tasting and several themed activities. A day of games, performances, story-telling, music-filled activities, and language study took place.
Visitors to the event stopped by several food stalls selling meals prepared at home by families from various countries.
An international IB global school, Lincoln Community School serves local and foreign families from 62 different nations. It has been operating in Accra for the past 55 years and has 600 pupils enrolled, ranging in age from preschool to senior secondary school.
