The 4th edition of Ghana Entertainment Awards USA, the largest Ghanaian entertainment event in the diaspora, has begun.
The award system, which had been on hold for the past two years due to the coronavirus pandemic, was relaunched yesterday night in a brief ceremony at Base Lounge in Accra, Ghana, hosted by Rev. Erskine and Elia Chebib.
Hajia 4Real, Salma Mumin, Chris Attoh, comedians SDK, and Waris, among others, performed at the launch, as did artists Article Wan, Camidoh, Nanky, and Talaat Yarky.
The purpose of the ceremony was to publicize this year’s edition, date, and venue, as well as to disclose the Board of Directors who will be working on nominations this year, as well as to foster industry connection and sociability.

Ace Broadcaster Abeiku Santana, Legendary Beatmaker Da Hammer of Last Two, CEO of 4Syte TV Ignace, Fashion consultant Jiji Glam, Artiste Manager and Showbiz pundit Nana Asiamah Hanson popularly known as Bulldog, Media Personality Amanda Jissih, Beatmaker Kaywa, and Media Personality Eddy Blay Jnr. comprise a very competent board with representation from all corners of our entertainment industry.
The board also announced the revision of existing categories as well as the introduction of new ones in order to include all aspects of the creative business, both domestically and internationally.
