Teni releases “Tears of the Sun,” her sophomore album.

The much awaited Tears of the Sun, the intriguing title of Nigerian singer-songwriter Teni‘s sophomore album, has finally been released. She released her debut album, WONDALAND, in 2021, and this new body of work is a follow-up to it. [irp]

Tears of The Sun, a diverse compilation of sixteen captivating tunes that showcase the artist’s creative prowess, promises to transport listeners on an immersive auditory and emotional experience. An additional depth layer is added to the record by the presence of notable guests. Together with fellow musicians Made Kuti, Tayc, and Odumodublvck—who has been making waves with his features—Teni skillfully combines a variety of sounds and inspirations to create a harmonious fusion of talent throughout the album.

The album Tears of the Sun is housed under Teni’s own label, Sugar Mummy Records, as a statement of her creative autonomy. Tears of The Sun, which Teni has made especially, is a melodic study of emotions, experiences, and stories.
