Tems, a talented singer, has spoken out about her experiences working with Beyonce and meeting Rihanna.
In an exclusive interview with GQ magazine, award-winning singer and songwriter Tems discussed working with Beyonce on the hit song ‘Move’ from her Renaissance album and meeting Rihanna.
Tems described working with Beyonce as an iconic experience that she would never forget because it was the highlight of her year (2022); she also discussed the uncertainty that surrounded the collaboration until it was officially released. Tems stated in the interview:
“You never really know until it happens.” And it wasn’t something I was paying attention to or keeping track of.”
Tems did not rule out the possibility of making a music video for the song, as she also stated:
“Of course it has meaning for me. If you told my five-year-old self, who was listening to Destiny’s Child at the time, that one day you’d have a song with one of them, I might have been confused.”
Tems also discussed meeting Rihanna at the Savage X Fenty show in Los Angeles, where she was given advice by Rihanna herself. She disclosed:
“She (Rihanna) was like, ‘You need to be that bitch you know you are,’” she said.
