Stonebwoy topped trends for a purported swipe at his colleague, Artists, during the occasion.
Stonebwoy has just released one of the year’s most anticipated albums, which was honored with a star-studded listening party on April 28 at the Polo Club.
The Dancehall artist, who was showered with love from friends, fans, his wife, and industry figures, topped trends for a purported swipe at his colleague, Artists, during the occasion.
On Saturday, April 29, fans of Shatta Wale, also known as Ghana’s Dancehall King, flocked to Twitter to chastise Stonebwoy for what they saw as an unfair attack on his colleague.
The viral video of Stonebwoy yelling, “IÂ say f_ck anybody who says ebi him be the Dancehall King.” “Ein modal” has been shared and retweeted several times.
Despite the fact that he omitted Shatta Wale’s name, music fans claim that his remark was an indirect dig at the longtime internet sensation.
The Shatta Movement has denounced Stonebwoy for “attacking” Shatta, who had previously asked his followers not to defame the “5th Dimension” album.
“NO SM FANS SHD TRASH STONEBWOYS ALBUM IF HIS FANS DONT HAVE SENSE TO STOP THE COMPARISON LEAVE THEM…Any trash tweet from an SM fan to Stonebwoys album will chop block .. that waste of time life #MaaliAlbum.”
Shatta tweeted on April 28, hours after Stonebwoy released his project. Below is a video with some reactions:
After Shatta Wale tried everything to stop his fans from trashing you Stonebwoy album like how your fans are doing to #MaaliAlbum you didn't see the sense in maintaining same energy, but turned around to insult Shatta Wale and his mother.
