Stonebwoy, a renowned composer and musician, met with Harvey Mason Jr., the CEO of the Grammy Awards, after his electrifying performance at the GUBA Awards 2022 in Rwanda to further the discussion regarding Ghanaian music.
On September 29, Mr. Mason, dignitaries, and stakeholders from Rwanda attended the GUBA Excellence Awards, which included the Ghanaian artist as the headlining performance.
The crowd rapidly caught up to the enthusiasm of Stonebwoy’s thrilling performance, especially the GRAMMY Awards CEO, who was visibly cheering him throughout the whole set.
During the brief meeting, which was intended to garner support for the Ghanaian music business, Stonebwoy and Harvey Mason Jr. had a fruitful discussion on how to plan to get Ghanaian singers to the Grammys. On Friday, Stonebwoy posted pictures from the gathering on his social media accounts (September 30).
Stonebwoy accepted the invitation from the Recording Academy and was welcomed as a member of the GRAMMYS 2021 New Member Class in June 2021. He had the chance to honor, uphold, and support music and its artists through membership. Prior to that, he received a GRAMMY certificate in September 2020 in honor of his involvement as a featured artist on Morgan Heritage’s GRAMMY-nominated album “AVRAKEDABRA.”
Stonebwoy is presently promoting “GIDIGBA,” his most recent track, which he claims as being self-affirming. The Phantom-produced song, which emanates a steady rhythm and assurance, talks about male hypocrisy and how crucial it is to maintain your resolve in the face of difficulty.
