Ghanaian singer and songwriter Stephanie Benson, who is based in the UK and has won multiple awards, recently opened up about the attention she gets in direct messages (DMs) on social media from young males.
Considering her age, Stephanie said that she accepts and values the flattery that comes with being contacted by younger admirers in a time when social conventions could imply differently.
She claimed that the texts she gets from these young men who seem to be “crushing” on her don’t concern her when she was a guest on TV3’s Ladies Circle over the weekend.
“I adore it. At my age, it’s incredibly good to have young males DM-ing me. That someone would think I’m attractive at my age is sweet. I’m not at all upset by them as long as they don’t ask for money,” she remarked.
The well-known singer went on to say that he occasionally lets her spouse see the notes, and they both laugh about it because her husband isn’t too concerned about these kinds of things.
@tv3gh_official It’s really nice to have young men in my DMs hitting on me because, at my age, it is sweet that at my age someone would find me sexy – @StephanieBLive #LadiesCircle #TV3
