Sista Afia almost created a diss album after her ex-boyfriend married another woman.

Ghanaian musician Sista Afia recently revealed that she once contemplated recording an entire album as a diss track towards her ex-boyfriend who broke her heart.

During an interview on Hitz FM on June 6, 2024, the ‘Slay Queen’ artist shared that her last emotional heartbreak occurred in 2017.

She recounted how her former partner was secretly involved with another woman and married her without Sista Afia’s knowledge.

The singer described the experience as deeply painful, stating, “The last time I had one was in 2017.

I almost recorded a diss album for him. It hurt me badly.

I did not do anything wrong. All I did was love a man and be there for him. He went to marry another girl while I was there. He didn’t tell me.

I didn’t even know that he was dating someone else.”

Despite the betrayal, Sista Afia disclosed that she and her ex-partner have reconciled and are now on good terms. “We’re very good friends now.

It was never about me. He’s been apologising for months now.

He wants to marry me now. But it’s too late,” she mentioned.

Francisca Gawugah, professionally known as Sista Afia, is a renowned Ghanaian highlife, afro-pop, and Afrobeat artist.Sista Afia almost created a diss album after her ex-boyfriend married another woman.

She is the niece of the well-known Ghanaian Bishop Duncan-Williams. Born on January 7, 1993, in Ghana, she grew up in Accra and Kumasi.

Sista Afia attended the Reverend John Teye Memorial Institute, Angel Educational Complex, and Afia Kobi Ampe Girls Senior High School before moving to the United Kingdom to pursue a career in nursing.

Sista Afia returned to Ghana in 2015 to pursue her music career, with Bisa Kdei as her mentor. Her first collaboration, ‘Kro Kro No,’ was also her debut official release.

She gained further recognition with the single “Jeje,” featuring dancehall artists Shatta Wale and Afezi Perry.

In 2018, she released her album “Queen Solomon.”
