The manager of Asake has refuted reports tying them to the political event.
Through his manager, he claimed Nigerian singer Asake has responded to reports that he will be giving a performance at Peter Obi’s campaign rally.
The manager of Asake and Wizkid has refuted a poster that was circulating online and claimed that Asake, Wizkid, and other artists will be performing at the Abuja Rally for Labour Party Presidential Candidate Peter Obi on February 18, 2022.
The flyer is bogus, and the event organizer will face legal action, according to the story, which was refuted by Asake’s official news page on Instagram. The message said:
FAKE NEWS❌‼️This is to inform the general public that this event led by @avotujohnson1st is a scam❌‼️
@asakemusic and his management know nothing about this event and accordingly, he will not be performing at the said event as claimed, so please beware of this poster and information put out from its organizers as Asake and his management will not be liable for any damages.
Appropriate legal action is currently being explored against the persons responsible for creating and disseminating this false information.
