Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian musician, is presently detained at the Ankaful Prison, where he will spend the next week after being remanded by a court to remain in police custody.
Shatta Wale was arrested and sentenced to prison for inciting fear and panicin the public domain following his pointless act.
In court, he was denied bail and told he would have to spend the next week in police detention while the prosecutors continued their investigation.
After pleading not guilty to the accusation of giving false information that caused fear and alarm, the judge decided that he should remain in police custody.
The location of his remand period was revealed in a recent article by StarrFM Online, and according to their correspondent who was in court, the presiding judge indicated in his judgement that remanding Shatta Wale was in the public’s best interests and was very important.
