Seyi Vibez, a rapidly growing singer and performer, discussed what influences his sound and style of music in an exclusive conversation with Capital One Extra.

The gifted musician, who just revealed his record label and became the first artist signed to the group, has started a radio tour in the wake of the great reception his most recent EP, NAHAMciaga, is receiving on a global scale.

As an artist, Seyi Vibez is known for fusing various sounds together. When asked where he finds inspiration, he explained that one of the main factors influencing his sound and style of music is his rediscovery of his African roots, as he was greatly influenced by foreign music as a child.

He continues to highlight the appeal and development of Afrobeats in the modern day, noting that musicians are making every effort to include the nation’s culture into their music—a strategy he has been doing with his style.
