DJ Mensah, Sarkodie’s DJ, had to retract his statement after prematurely revealing that the rapper would perform at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
The news about Sarkodie’s performance remained uncertain until the French Embassy’s recent press event, which sparked excitement among fans eager to see Sarkodie perform in Paris.
This year’s Olympics Opening Ceremony will be unique. For the first time, it will be held outside an Olympic Stadium and broadcast to 80 giant screens in public.
A representative from the French Embassy in Ghana announced that the Paris Olympic Games will include an African Fan Zone, showcasing many Ghanaian artists. At a recent event, the French Embassy revealed that Sarkodie, King Promise, and Darkovibes are scheduled to perform in the African Fan Zone on August 10.
The Olympics opening ceremony is set for July 26, 2024, in Paris, France, with the closing ceremony on August 11, 2024. The event is expected to draw around 600,000 spectators and will be broadcast to 80 giant screens in public. The 1750-capacity hall, opened in 1968, has hosted various legends, including Adele, Lady Gaga, and the Rolling Stones.
