The Atlanta based Ghanaian hitmaker, Nektunez, is the creator of Africa’s larger-than-life record this year, ‘Ameno Amapiano’. The sensational producer has recently signed a long-term agreement with SONY Music after the immense success of his record with Nigerian artist Goya Menor.
If you haven’t heard the big news, the Afrobeats genre got a big win from Billboard after they announced earlier this month Afrobeats will have its own top 10 songs chart. Today marked the first release of Billboard U.S. top 10 Afrobeats charts, with ‘Ameno Amapiano’ charting at number 7.

The ‘Ameno Amapiano Remix’ remix has received over 72.7 million streams across all platforms and 9.5 billion TikTok views since it originally went viral in December 2021. ‘Ameno Amapiano Remix’ topped the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart for several weeks.
On February 18, Goya Menor and Nektunez released the official music video for ‘Ameno Amapiano’ Remix on YouTube, which received millions of views in just a few days.
