On Easter Monday, VGMA23 Xperience Concert Will be hosted in Koforidua.

When the candidates for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards came to Koforidua in 2013, the city came to a halt. Back-to-back successes by sensational and chart-topping artists delighted audiences.

After 9 years, the VGMA returns to Koforidua with a galaxy of stars for yet another amazing experience at the Jubilee Park on Easter Monday, April 18th, from 4pm until late. The VGMA Xperience Event is the first official open-air concert since 2019, therefore excitement is at an all-time high. The experience can’t be anything less than surreal with chart-topping artists like Kofi Kinaata, Medikal, Fameye, Samini, Amerado, Kelvynboy, Joyce Blessing, Dopenation, Akesse Brimpong, and many more. The VGMA23 Xperience Concert (also known as Nominees Jam) is a musical event that has intensified. This edition includes three distinct experiences: The Fan Park, The Music Lab, and The Live Concert. The experience begins at 4 p.m. with the Fan Park, which includes picture ops, an art show, activities, fashion, food, and beverages. The VGMA Music Lab follows, which is a local talent performance/audition for future artists in which the greatest talent receives a produced song from a guest producer/judge. The program will culminate with a live performance featuring the finest artists, which will be broadcast live on TV3 and streamed on the Ghana Music Awards accounts on Facebook and YouTube.

The VGMA in Schools project will be extended to Pope John’s Senior Secondary School as part of Koforidua’s entire music experience. The goal is to introduce students to options in the music industry while highlighting the importance of education in entertainment-related vocations.
