Nvidia is announcing major changes to its GeForce Now cloud streaming service. The existing Priority membership will now be called Performance, featuring 1440p streaming, ultrawide resolution support, and the ability to save graphics settings between sessions. Starting January 1, 2025, new Performance or Ultimate members will face a 100-hour monthly playtime limit.

This cap, which works out to about three hours of daily usage, is being introduced to avoid raising membership prices. Nvidia says the change will impact less than 6% of users.

Extra playtime can be purchased in 15-hour blocks, with Performance costing $2.99 and Ultimate costing $5.99. Additionally, Nvidia is offering a 25% discount on Ultimate and Performance day passes through November 22, which can be upgraded to a recurring monthly or six-month membership for unlimited playtime before the caps take effect in 2026.
