Ghana’s National Union of Students (NUGS) Expands Globally Under Strong Leadership
The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) is making waves under the leadership of President Kyeremeh Oppong Daniel. Following the successful launch of NUGS-USA in February, they’ve inaugurated NUGS-UK, with Stephanie Ofori Prempeh as the first female president.
The online inauguration, led by President Daniel and International Relations Secretary Joshua Nakpri, introduced the first-ever NUGS-UK executive team. This dedicated group will support Ghanaian students across the UK.
“This launch is more than just a milestone,” said President Daniel. “It’s a movement to empower Ghanaian students globally. We want to create an environment where they can thrive academically and personally.”
NUGS-UK is part of a broader effort by the 57th NUGS administration to build a strong international network for Ghanaian students. These regional branches will advocate for student interests on a global scale.
The appointment of Prempeh as the first female NUGS-UK president reflects NUGS’ commitment to gender equality and inclusive leadership under President Daniel.
Looking ahead, NUGS plans to establish branches in France and Canada, further solidifying their global presence. This ensures Ghanaian students everywhere have access to the support and opportunities they need to succeed.
