Music crossover season is well underway, and the Queen of Hip-Hop, Nicki Minaj, appears set to join the group chat and have some fun with it, as she shares plans to not only collaborate with a Ghanaian artist, but also visit Ghana.
In response to a fan’s question about when she’d be coming to Ghana, the rapper said in a livestream titled “Dear Grammys,” “I’ll love to come to Ghana, I actually may be doing something major, a business type of situation with an artiste from Ghana very soon.”
However, Nicki Minaj’s livestream was primarily used to express her displeasure with the Recording Academy, Grammys, for removing her hit single, Super Freaky Girl, from the Best Rap Single category. So far, Nicki Minaj has yet to collaborate with an African-based artist, but she has given Wizkid’s Essence rave reviews, declaring it the song of the summer to media personality Joe Budden.
