Ghanaian actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown has responded to claims that her success is tied to black magic (juju), revealing that some within the creative arts industry doubt her rise is solely due to talent and hard work.
Speaking on the Let’s Talk Podcast with the Diva Doc, McBrown addressed the persistent rumors and unfounded accusations surrounding her career. However, she emphasized that she holds no grudges against those spreading such narratives.
“Even now, people still say things about me, but I choose to forgive them. Now, they claim I use juju simply because I am doing well,” she stated.
Dismissing these allegations, the award-winning actress credited her achievements to years of dedication, training, and a deliberate approach to her work. She acknowledged that while her entry into acting may have appeared swift, her journey was anything but easy.
“People think I got into acting quickly, but they don’t know my starting point… I am a perfectionist because I want to leave a lasting mark. Everything I do is intentional.”
