The controversial music video Meek Mill shot at Ghana’s Presidential Palace, The Jubilee House, has received an apology from the American rapper.
The rapper uploaded a short teaser of himself exploring the Jubilee House and rapping to new song lyrics on his Instagram profile on Sunday night.
Ghanaians expressed their displeasure with the Presidency for allowing Meek Mill to shoot in the Jubilee House on social media right away.
Meek Mill removed the music video from his social media platforms after receiving a lot of criticism, and he has now apologized on Twitter.
Check the tweet below:
My apologies to the people if any disrespect! We still gonna push to make the connection between black people in America and Africa … what I’m trying to do is more than a video and you should see coming soon! My apologies to the the office also!

The individual or people at the Presidency who permitted Meek Mill to film the music video in the Jubilee house received a lot of criticism, but the rapper has also stated that they had no idea he was using the material for a music video.
“When we asked to shoot, they may not have realized it was video footage because there was just one kid and a little camera,” Because Ghana isn’t frequently featured in American media, we were interested in showing this. I’ll thus accept responsibility for my error! Not on purpose, Meek clarified.
I don’t think they knew it was video footage when we asked to shoot its a small camera and one kid … in America we didn’t know this existed and was excited to show because they don’t show Ghana on our media much! So I’ll take responsibility for my mistake! Not intentional https://t.co/obDZb9Czu5
