Millyz, a rapper from Cambridge, Massachusetts, has just announced the release of his new album Blanco 5 on May 27th, as well as the release of his new single and video “Love/Hate” (feat. Gio Dee). Blanco 5 is filled with razor-sharp poetry and memorable hooks, as well as a long list of notable collaborators such as Fivio Foreign, Jadakiss, Peezy, Cousin Stizz, and others. The album’s opening, “Love/Hate” (feat. Gio Dee), is an introspective cut over a jazzy instrumental in which Millyz muses on the ups and downs of his newfound popularity after grinding in hip-hop for almost ten years.
Millyz’s intimate relationship with his adoring fans is highlighted in the accompanying images, which include snippets from his sold-out gigs, signing memorabilia, and engaging with his devoted following. With the upcoming release of Blanco 5, Millyz has finally had his well-deserved moment in the spotlight after more than a decade in the game.
Millyz has been lighting the internet with great freestyles on L.A. Leakers, Tim Westwood, The Come Up Show, and, most recently, Fire In The Booth throughout the year. With the publication of his most recent project, Blanco 4 in 2021, things began to heat up for him last year. The album’s songs were “Emotions,” which included G Herbo, “Benny Blanco,” which featured expert bar spitter Benny The Butcher, and “Hopeless,” which featured Jadakiss, who has functioned as Millyz’s mentor for the past decade. Millyz’s previous song “Ashes In The Maybach,” with Mozzy, was released prior to the release of Blanco 5.
