Diamond Michelle, popularly known as Michy and former partner of Shatta Wale, has opened up about her decision to keep her romantic life private. In a recent interview on Accra FM with Nana Romeo, Michy revealed that she avoids sharing details about her relationships on social media because people often attempt to “snatch” her partner.
As a result, she has chosen to keep her love life away from public scrutiny.
Michy also addressed recent comments made by Shatta Wale about their past relationship. During his appearance on the Rants, Bants, and Confessions podcast with Efia Odo, Ama Burland, and Gisela Amponsah, Shatta Wale reflected on their breakup, claiming that Michy didn’t appreciate his efforts and affection, despite his desire to make the relationship work.
In response, Michy, during her interview on Thursday, November 14, 2024, chose not to directly engage with Shatta Wale’s remarks. She stated that while she could share many stories about their time together, she preferred to stay silent. “Given the long journey I had with him, I deserve appreciation,” she remarked, questioning the accuracy of Shatta Wale’s claims and suggesting that his statements might require further clarification. She rhetorically asked if any other woman would have stayed with him as long as she did.
