Actor Kwadwo Nkansah, widely known as Lil Win, has been arrested by the Manhyia Divisional Police Command’s MTTD.
As reported by Citi FM on Monday, June 3, 2024, Lil Win was taken into custody shortly after being released from the hospital.
His arrest is linked to a recent car accident that resulted in the tragic death of a three-year-old boy.
On May 25, Lil Win was involved in a car crash just hours before the highly anticipated premiere of his movie “A Country Called Ghana“ in Kumasi.
He and other victims were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. While Lil Win was recovering from his injuries, it was recently reported that the young victim involved in the accident had died.
The three-year-old child succumbed to his injuries after Lil Win’s car collided with theirs.
A relative of the deceased confirmed this during a live radio interview with Angel FM on Monday, May 27.
According to the relative, the boy was sitting in the front seat with his father when the accident happened.
The child passed away at the hospital on Saturday, while his father remains hospitalized.
The accident occurred on Saturday morning in the Amakom area of Kumasi, Ashanti region.
Lil Win and his two passengers also sustained head injuries, and both vehicles were heavily damaged.
The tragic incident has sparked outrage and demands for justice.
The family of the deceased child has also expressed their anger over Lil Win’s attitude and his management’s insensitive behavior following the accident.
