Liha Miller, the estranged wife of Ghanaian musician Patapaa, has opened up about the challenges in her turbulent marriage, accusing him of neglect and damaging her reputation. She revealed that despite her efforts to salvage the relationship, it ultimately fell apart, leading her to seek a divorce.
In an interview with Zion Felix on December 16, 2024, Miller described the marriage as a deeply difficult experience from which she learned valuable lessons. She explained that the decision to move on was not taken lightly, as she wanted to ensure there was no chance of reconciliation before pursuing a divorce.
“I don’t think I did anything wrong by moving on because the marriage was already broken. I had to be certain it couldn’t be fixed before deciding on a divorce. I discussed it with my family, and they noticed he wasn’t reaching out to me anymore, and we weren’t communicating. They started questioning how long I would keep lying to myself,” she shared.
Miller expressed frustration over how she has been treated during the fallout, stating, “The way people, including Patapaa, have tarnished my image is unfair. I cried a lot over this marriage, but I tried to save it.”
Currently awaiting court approval to officially dissolve the union, Miller disclosed her plans to remarry abroad once the divorce is finalized. Reflecting on her situation, she said, “Our court marriage took place in April, but life goes on. I’m young, I don’t have a child, and I want a husband who’s ready for commitment. This long-distance relationship is not what I want. There is no chance for reconciliation with Patapaa; we haven’t spoken in years.”
She also revealed that her marriage began deteriorating shortly after their wedding due to irreconcilable differences. Despite not being in contact with Patapaa for over two years, she is working with his family to finalize the divorce and move forward with her life.
