Leaker suggests Apple will call its slim 2025 iPhones ‘iPhone 17 Air’

Apple’s 2025 iPhone lineup will have a familiar look to the current iPhone 15 series, but the iPhone 17 series is expected to introduce a notable new model. Initially rumored as the iPhone 17 Slim, YouTuber Jon Prosser suggests it might be named the iPhone 17 Air, following Apple’s naming trends like iPad Air and MacBook Air.

The iPhone 17 Air is anticipated to be the slimmest iPhone yet, featuring a 6.7-inch screen but designed to be notably thinner. It will be positioned between the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro in terms of both price and specs. Key features are expected to include an A19 chip and a 48MP single camera, with a redesigned, smaller Dynamic Island.

Prosser also hints that the iPhone 17 Air might replace the iPhone 17 Plus, with a price tag around $1,099, similar to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Although the iPhone 17 Air is more than a year away, the iPhone 16 series will be unveiled soon, featuring a fresh design, upgraded hardware, and enhanced Apple intelligence, expected to launch in September.
