Kwabena Kwabena, a legendary Ghanaian highlife musician and performer, has explained what motivates him to write lyrics.
The highlife artist revealed on the Hollywood A-Z Show that he gets motivated to make songs when he (Kwabena Kwabena) is heartbroken.
“And believe me, the best times for me to compose my songs are when I am sad, yeah, I love those moments, honestly when it’s so rosy like that you don’t write amazing songs,” he (Kwabena Kwabena) explained.
According to the ‘Aso’ hitmaker, a one needs occasionally go through life hardships and have a personal experience to have an understanding of what reality is.
“Sometimes you simply need the roughness of some things to truly give you an experience or a sense of what the truth really is; how can you compose a song about somebody cheating if nobody has ever cheated before?” he added.
Kwabena Kwabena’s sixth studio album, ‘Fa Me Saa,’ was released in November 2022, and he has planned a pre-valentine event.
The ‘Love Night’ production will take place at the National Theatre on February 11, 2023.
