At this year’s BMI London Awards, Kuami Eugene, a singer from Ghana, was among the honorees.
The Lynx Entertainment signee received recognition for his work on Joeboy and Ckay’s song “Love Nwantiti.”
On October 3, 2022, a ceremony honoring Kuami Eugene and the writers of the hugely popular song took place at London’s Savoy Hotel.
One of the songs in the “Most-Performed Songs of the Year” category was “Love Nwantiti.”
Songs that have been played the most over the course of the past year on terrestrial radio, satellite radio, and online streaming services are recognized in this category.
Other notable wins that evening included Tems (Impact Award), Wizkid for “Essence,” Ed Sheraan & Johnny McDaid for “Bad Habits” (Song of the Year), and (Most Performed Songs)
