Kelvynboy walks out after losing Afrobeat song of the year award to Dope Nation at VGMAs

Kelvynboy and his team stormed out of the venue for the 21st Vodafone Ghana Music Awards event after losing the Afrobeat song of the year category to Dope Nation’s newbies.

Kelvynboy, who portrays himself as King of Afrobeat in Ghana’s current music terrane, has lost the award for the Afrobeat song of the year to the ex-signs of Lynx Entertainment, Dope Nation.

 

Kelvynboy obviously anticipated winning the award in order to solidify his claim to be the best among the few artists torchlighting Afrobeat music in Ghana.

On the first day of the 3-day affair, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kelvyn announced during his performance that his “Mea” song deserved the award.

Unfortunately, the pundits and the voters did not agree that Dope Nation had clinched the award with their nationwide banger, Zanku.
