Justin Bieber, Giveon and Daniel Caesar Bring ‘Peaches’ to the Grammys in 2022.

Justin Bieber performed “Peaches” in a slowed-down version.

Justin Bieber may have gotten his peaches in Georgia and his weed in California, but it was all about Las Vegas at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (April 3), when he welcomed Daniel Caesar and Giveon to the MGM Grand Garden Arena stage for a performance of his smash song “Peaches.”

Bieber took the stage alone, seated at a piano, at the start of the show. Bieber kept the tone quiet at first, slowing down the tempo and providing one of his most genuine, soulful vocal efforts, dressed in a black sweatshirt with leather trousers, white sneakers, and a baseball cap.

The solemn moment was short-lived, however, as Bieber stepped away from the piano to join Caesar and Giveon, his bandmates. The singers added vitality to the song with the addition of a full band, while the television censors couldn’t keep up with bleeping out some of the song’s curse words.

Bieber was nominated in eight categories going into this year’s Grammys, but he ended up going home empty-handed.

“Peaches” was the fifth single from Justin Bieber’s Justice album, released in 2021, and it received Grammy nominations for record and song of the year, as well as best music video and best R&B performance. For Justice, Bieber was nominated for album of the year, best pop vocal album, best pop solo performance (“Anyone”), and best pop duo/group performance (“Lonely” with Benny Blanco).

Bieber linked up with The Kid Laroi for the mega track “Stay,” which spent seven weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 list after the release of “Peaches” and “Justice.” Bieber also released “Ghost,” a two-time multi-Platinum song from the Justice album.
