Joeboy, one of Africa’s brightest emerging talents, announced his first headlining tour of North America today. On this whirlwind tour, which begins on May 4 in Philadelphia, PA, and ends on May 30 in Seattle, WA, the Nigerian pop artist will bring his youthful lyrics and compelling beats to 15 locations across the United States.
Joeboy rose to fame in Nigeria shortly after the release of his EP Love & Light in 2019. His single ‘Baby’ earned widespread critical acclaim and recognition, charting at number one in over ten African nations, including Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, and Nigeria, where he was born. On YouTube alone, the song has received over 80 million views.

Joeboy’s first full-length album, Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic, was released in February 2022. Joeboy’s production finesse and sensuous, light-hearted vocals are highlighted on the 14-track project, in which he is the sole performer. His most recent hit, “Sip(Alcohol),” has over 400 million streams across all platforms and has topped singles charts all over the world. Rolling Stone, Billboard, COMPLEX, Pitchfork, and other publications have praised his ability to create quick successes, and he has received widespread industry backing and attention.
