Wendy Shay, a musician, has disclosed that she seldom ever responds to direct messages (DMs) and comments on social media.
She claims that this is because she is constantly the target of threats and cyberbullying from other users on social media.
She added that, in order to preserve her mental health, she deliberately tried not to read messages on social media in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Monday.
“When I first entered the industry, I encountered a lot of criticism. I had death threats and everything, you know,” she remarked.
Wendy Shay did not fully benefit from this choice, though, as she neglected to follow up on a few crucial messages, such as a record contract with an international musician who wanted to include her.
“That was a new time, and they wanted to put me on, and I missed it,” the woman stated in a message from Trilla.
The musician went on to say that because most of the people causing the bullying utilize fictitious accounts, efforts to find them have been unsuccessful.
The hitmaker of “Masakra” also suggested that an American record label was prepared to Affirm her.
She declined to say “until further notice” when asked if she would continue working with Ruff Town Records or departing when her contract ends.
“That’s something that will be between Ruff Town Records and me,” Wendy stated. Let’s leave it that way for the time being.
“As an artist, it would be up to me and us as to whether or not we will have a partnership.”
