Renowned Ghanaian broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah has disclosed that she has never been asked to engage in intimate exchanges in return for job opportunities or career growth.
During her appearance on United Showbiz on UTV on Saturday, February 15, 2025, she shared insights into the inspiration behind her women’s empowerment initiative, Women of Valour. She described the project as a tribute to strength and resilience—an idea she had nurtured for over a decade while waiting for the right moment to bring it to life.
According to Nana Aba, the overwhelming number of messages she received from women played a significant role in shaping Women of Valour. While her DMs on X (formerly Twitter) were closed due to the high volume of messages, her Instagram inbox remained open, allowing many women to reach out for guidance and support.
“Since I started working, no man has ever approached me with such a request in exchange for a job. So when a woman finds herself in that situation and seeks my advice, I struggle to give the best response because I have never experienced it myself,” she explained.
She went on to say that if she had faced such a challenge, her guidance would have been more practical and relatable. This realization, she noted, fueled her passion for launching Women of Valour—a platform where women could share their experiences, support one another, and uplift each other through empowerment and solidarity.
