Saturday, April 22, 2023, Our Lady of Grace Senior High School (OLAG SHS), Mamponteng, put up a spectacular rally to win the ladies’ division of the Ashanti Regional Inter-School Cross Country Competition. The school won the females category with 25 points and came in sixth position in the boy’s category with 113 points, respectively.
In the regional divisions for boys and girls, there were 13 and 19 schools, respectively, that participated.
In the girls’ division, Felicia Babulweri, Vida Asusiyinne, Sherifa Moro, Naomi Feisulip, and Diana Kuubetegr won with a strong performance over the course of the 4 kilometers. Blessing Anokye, Elvis Boakye, Simon Alianga, Benjamin Boakye, David Konbong, and Thomas Agyekum, the boys’ equivalents, outperformed their rivals in the 8-kilometer run by battling for sixth place with strength and speed.
The school received recognition and applause once more for its fervent performance on such a large platform from sports coordinators and organizers under the proper guidance of Mr. Anselm Nyavadzie and his colleagues and instructors in the sports department.
