In Nigeria, we were treated like regular individuals, with no special treatment- Yawtog

According to Yawtog, whereas Ghanaians always offer Nigerian artists a special warm welcome whenever they visit the country for business or pleasure, the opposite is true when Ghanaian artists visit Nigeria.

According to the young rapper, he did not receive any extra attention from Nigerians on his last visit in December for the 2021 AFRIMMAs, as he stated in an interview on Y107.9 FM’s ‘Dryve of your Lyfe.’

Yawtog, Gyakie, and Kofi Jamar represented Ghana at the AFRIMMAs in Nigeria in 2021, but Yawtog noted that he was treated like a regular person rather than the well-known rapper that he is.

“Nigerians do not treat Ghanaian artists as their primary artists; instead, they treat you like a regular person.” There’s no way you’ll be treated like Davido or Burna Boy.

“They treated us differently when we went there; everything was normal compared to Ghana, where I would have gotten special care.” “It was tough there,” he admitted in the interview.
