    I still have mad love for Guru, no matter what he said to me-Kuami Eugene

    According to the reigning VGMA Artiste of the Year, Rockstar-Kuami Eugene he still has massive and solid love for rapper Guru even though the latter has issues with him winning the much-coveted award.

    The day after Kuami Eugene was crowned Artist of the Year 2020, Guru 
    went to social media to share his opinion on the VGMA awards system. 
    According to Guru’s standpoint, Kuami Eugene did not merit the Artiste of the Year Award VGMA bestowed on him over Sarkodie who was positioned as the fans favourite to win the category.

    In response to these comments by Guru, Kuami Eugene said that he does not offend Guru ‘s comments about him or his win at the VGMA’s just ended, because he thinks that everyone has the right to speak their minds, Guru is no exception.

    Speaking on TV Africa with host Roselyn Felli on 1 September 2020, Kuami Eugene expressed his love for Guru regardless of the comments he made.

    The Rockstar revealed that he looked up to Guru in the early stages of his career. He used to watch him perform on the big platforms, and until the date that his memory was still in his mind.

    The host asked, “If Guru reaches out to you for collaboration on a song, would you work with him?“, Kuami Eugene replied, “Yes, I would love to work with him, I still got mad love for him tho”
