Famous Ghanaian comedian and actor Kofi Adu, also known as Agya Koo, has voiced his displeasure with the condition of the roads in his community despite his ardent support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the general elections of 2016 and 2020.
Agya Koo disclosed that he actively participated in the NPP’s 2020 campaign, even at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He now has to deal with the problems caused by the unmaintained, dusty roads in his neighborhood, which contrast sharply with the well-kept roads in wealthier regions.
It is depressing to see other people have fun while you are left out. Although I also stay at Hill Top, I go to the areas where the wealthy and famous reside; there are areas where nothing has been built, but the roads are asphalted.
However, some of us who live in certain locations should go and observe the condition of our roads and how the dust is killing us. I helped bring this regime to power. The locations I visited in 2016 during election season. In an interview with Angel FM, he stated, “My boys and I were risking our lives to campaign for the party at the height of COVID-19 in 2020.”
He urged NPP delegates to support Kennedy Agyapong, the MP for Assin Central, in the party’s primaries because he thought Kennedy had a plan to deal with the nation’s unemployment problem.
“I’m pleading with the delegates, so if the party members can speak, they should vote for Kennedy Agyapong. If an aspirant offers you money, accept it, but the outcome of the Nov. 4 primaries will determine whether or not you believe Ghana will have a bright future.
“Therefore, I would beg delegates to support Kennedy Agyapong so that he can generate jobs for the people,” he continued.
