On the well-known social media site TikTok, Ghanaian musician Medikal declared his desire to work with content creators to promote his music.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, he stressed how important it is for these content producers to support and promote Ghanaian music so much.
He continued by saying that he finds the work of these content producers to be “interesting” and that he even regularly gets together with them.
Sometimes, I meet influencers, dancers, and other people on TikTok before I wait to release a song. They encourage Ghanaian music, not just mine, as you can see, which is why I support them. And it fascinates me so much what they’re doing,” he remarked.
Medikal gave an explanation of why he maintains a positive working relationship with these content creators, saying that they are essential to the success of songs in Ghana and that he views them as fellow members of the entertainment and creative community.
Things have altered as of late. A famous musician can’t merely release a song and call it a night. because songs became viral due to the TikTokers’ efforts.
Therefore, I don’t wait to release a song until after I actually meet them in the city. We are all in the entertainment business, so it only makes sense to be kind. Thus, that will also be available to you,” he remarked.
Medikal sees them as important contributors to the entertainment and creative industries and acknowledges their role in the expansion of the music business.
