Gyakie, a Ghanaianartist, released the official tracklist for her sophomore EP “My Diary” two days ago.
The highly anticipated 6-track EP will be released this Friday, July 22nd, 2022.
The tracklist’s announcement revealed a collaboration with Nigerian hitmaker Davido, who is the only feature listed on the tracklist aside from what appears to be the introduction of an alter ego named Song Bird.
Gyakie has been on the road promoting her two singles “Something” and, most recently, “For My Baby,” both from her sophomore EP “My Diary,” to an international audience.
This past weekend, she juggled two international shows in the United Kingdom and Europe in one night. Gyakie performed in the United Kingdom on July 16th for Ghana Party In The Park, hosted by Akwaaba Uk, just weeks after her show in Berlin, where she shared the stage with some of Africa’s biggest artists.
Ghana Party in the Park is an annual outdoor festival held in London for the Ghanaian diaspora community. Attracting visitors from the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States, Canada, and Ghana.
During Gyakie’s electrifying performance, fans screamed back her song word for word. She later performed at the Afro Matic with Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz.
Generation performs live in Germany. The inaugural event provided fans with a full experience of African music, with performances by Freak De L’Afrique and Christian Bakotessa.
Gyakie’s two cross-continental performances validate her musical footprint as a rising international artist, and with her recent selection as Apple Music’s Rising Star of the Month for July, there’s no reason not to be excited about the project’s impact on the music scene.
Electro Mirror executive produced the “My Diary” EP, which will be released on Friday, and Altra Nova, iPappi, Soji, P Priime, Sosa, Jay Weathers, and AJ contributed production.
