Gyakie received two platinum certifications in South Africa._ Video

GyakieThe hit song “Forever” by singer Gyakie has received platinum certification in South Africa for both of its renditions.

On Thursday, August 25, 2022, the Ghanaian artist celebrated the milestone with a tweet, informing fans, “Platinum for life in South Africa. Double Platinum in South Africa for Remix.”

A platinum record is achieved when a song sells 20,000 units or more, according to the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA).
A double platinum is earned after selling 40,000 units or more.

The Flip the Music artist, who is also signed to RCA Records, was honored with a plaque at the Sony Music Publishing office in Johannesburg, South Africa.

‘Forever,’ from Gyakie’s debut EP ‘Seed,’ was released on August 7, 2020.
However, the ‘Forever Remix’ featuring Nigeria’s Omah Lay was released on March 31, 2021.
Gyakie’s most recent release is the 2022 EP titled ‘My Diary.’
