Guinness World Records has given Ghanaian graduate Isaac Amoako permission to start an extraordinary reading challenge: reading aloud for six days in a row.
Driven by his deep love of books, Isaac hopes to break the record for the longest reading aloud as a University of Education (Winneba) graduate.
Isaac Amoako revealed in a recent interview that Guinness World Records had sent him a confirmation email proving he was eligible for the impending reading marathon.
The would-be record breaker clarified that he was motivated to attempt this incredible feat by his passion for reading as well as the present generation’s widespread reliance on social media.
Isaac Amoako has set an ambitious goal of reading nonstop for 145 to 150 hours, and he is confident about the upcoming reading marathon. Following three years of careful preparation, Isaac is determined to leave a lasting impression on the literary world.
His observation of the youth’s increasing reliance on social media led him to decide to go on the reading-aloud marathon.
According to Isaac, this record-breaking project is a unique method to promote and reignite enthusiasm in reading, inspiring people to delve further into the world of literature outside of the digital sphere.
