Professor Elsie Effah Kaufmann, the mistress of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), has cautioned young people against selecting life partners, emphasizing that they need to identify individuals with whom they can grow.
Among other things, the dean of the University of Ghana’s School of Engineering Sciences stated this in an interview with Bola Ray on Starr Chat on Accra’s Starr FM on November 2, 2023.
‘Prior to anything else, you should make informed decisions, be aware of what you are getting into before you arrive, and recognize that people are not static.’
Therefore, she said, “choose someone you can develop with and don’t get married just on what you see at that moment. Remember that you will be growing and that the person may or may not grow as well.
She continued by acknowledging that she viewed her marriage’s dissolution as one of her greatest life failures.
She claimed that although she expected to be married for life, this was not the case.
You’re supposed to be married for the rest of your life, right? Therefore, I think getting divorced in marriage is the biggest failure in life
I consider the breakup of a marriage one of my biggest failures. – Prof. Elsie Effah Kaufmann#StarrChat w/ @TheRealBolaRay pic.twitter.com/Xqk8XnMhkh
