    Donald Trump will show up in court to answer to charges

    Donald Trump, a former president of the United States, is scheduled to appear in court in New York today, April 4, 2023, to answer to charges related to alleged payments of hush money to a porn actress prior to the 2016 presidential election.

    The first former American president to be detained and sent to court will be Donald Trump.

    The former President has been charged with over two dozen offenses, including felonies, according to sources close to ABC News, an American media outlet, even if the official record of his detention is still sealed.
