The management of Afrobeats megastar Davido, full name David Adeleke, has issued a memo to the public informing them that his previously scheduled A.W.A.Y festival has been postponed.
According to the statement, Davido’s Are We African Yet— A.W.A.Y Festival, which was scheduled for November 18th, has been rescheduled for 2023, with all existing tickets remaining valid.
According to the memo, “The difficult but necessary decision has been made to postpone the A.W.A.Y. festival until Saturday, November 18, 2023. At this time, Davido needs to spend time with his family and loved ones.”
The A.W.A.Y Festival was previously scheduled to take place at Atlanta’s 21,000-person capacity State Farm Arena. This news follows the tragic death of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, in a pool accident.
