Renowned Ghanaian rapper Darlington Kwesi Agyekum, better known by his stage as D Cryme, has disclosed what he does outside of music, which is likely why he does not release as many songs as he used to.
In an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM’s Ekwansodwdwo, the rapper cum singer said that some musicians rely only on their music for survival, but that they eventually diversify into other fields to supplement their income.
He claims that most young musicians would rather focus on their music and build their brands than divert their attention and resources to other endeavors, but as they mature, they realize the importance of having other companies than music.
D Cryme further stated that most young stars had the time and energy to devote to their music, however, he and his peers now have obligations, necessitating the need to focus on other endeavors.
