Renowned Ghanaian marriage counsellor Charlotte Oduro has firmly stated that she will never permit her daughters to marry pastors, citing the difficulties associated with pastoral marriages.
Speaking during a church service, the outspoken relationship expert made it clear that she does not want either of her two daughters to marry a pastor. Her declaration has sparked widespread discussion across social media and religious circles.
“I have two daughters, and neither of them will marry a pastor,” she asserted, drawing mixed reactions from the public.
While some support her candidness about the burdens of being married to a pastor, others believe she is limiting her daughters’ choices.
Her statement comes shortly after Apostle Solomon Oduro, General Overseer of the Royal Victory Family Church, officially confirmed the dissolution of their marriage.
In a press release dated Monday, February 10, 2025, Apostle Oduro revealed that he and Reverend Charlotte Oduro had been separated for three years, with their traditional marriage formally ending in 2024.

The statement read:
“With deep reflection and responsibility, I officially announce the dissolution of my marriage to Reverend Charlotte Oduro. This decision was made after much prayer, discussion, and careful consideration.”
Apostle Oduro attributed the split to irreconcilable differences, despite multiple reconciliation efforts. He emphasized that the decision followed years of reflection and spiritual guidance.
Both Reverend Charlotte Oduro and Apostle Solomon Oduro have requested prayers and support as they embark on this new phase of their lives.
